techUK’s Cloud Computing Programme and Skills and Diversity Programme will be partnering for the next edition of the Cloud Monthly webinar series to explore with leading cloud experts how cloud will enable new hybrid workforces in the long-term as the UK begins to re-open from COVID-19.

Research undertaken by Forbes showed that over 70% anticipate a return to the office before the end of this year; Yet worryingly, of those returning, 60.8% have either no plans to reconfigure their office space or do not have a strategy in place. Furthermore, plans to return to the office, at least part time, will need to align with the needs of a workforce that overwhelmingly expects flexibility in their choice to work from home.

This means in the long-term, businesses will continue to rely on cloud to provide business continuity for their workforce in a safe and secure way. As such, this webinar will to understand how the rapid and widescale adoption of cloud to support business continuity and enable a large-scale remote workforce can become sustainable for the workforce of the future.

Learning from Cloud Providers who have pro-actively worked with businesses over the last year to rapidly expand their remote workforce, we will explore what businesses will need prepare for as offices, city centres and buildings re-open, but with many workers still remote.

We will also address the cybersecurity concerns of businesses navigating adoption of cloud services, and what key questions and areas Cloud Service providers should be aware of to help build out a sustainable cloud strategy.

Finally, we will understand how cloud can help support the digital workforce of the future that will need to have the skills to utilize and understand cloud for remote working.
